Oil Exploration Operations Company

It is recognized as one of the leading private companies active in the upstream sector of Iran’s oil and gas industry. The company was established in 1998 and has since provided specialized technical services in two major areas: exploration operations and integrated drilling auxiliary services. In 2019, ownership of the company’s shares was transferred to the Oil Industries Engineering and Construction Company (OIEC). According to the Oil Pension Fund’s restructuring strategy, all shares of the Oil Exploration Operations Company were transferred to OIEC in 2019.

Following OIEC Group’s strategic policy to enhance and consolidate the capabilities of its subsidiaries in related fields, the companies Saba Rig Supply and Oil Industries Drilling Services were merged with the Oil Exploration Operations Company. This integration aimed to create a full-cycle upstream service provider covering exploration, drilling, drilling auxiliary services, and well production, enabling stronger market presence and alignment with strategic goals. Supported by skilled personnel and advanced equipment, the company has successfully exported technical and engineering services beyond national borders in recent years, earning a strong reputation in the region through high‑quality service delivery

Under its new structure, the company—now fully private and backed by over 20 years of upstream expertise—has initiated a new wave of transformation in the oil industry and continues to contribute significantly to national progress and independence. It is hoped that, with timely identification of opportunities and challenges, the Oil Exploration Operations Company will continue to play a successful and influential role in the country and the region
